Mezuzos

A mezuzah goes on the doorpost of your home. It protects the door, and it earns you Kosher Points over time.

  1. Buy a Mezuzah from /kosher shop for 150 Kosher Points.
  2. Right-click the doorpost beside your door.

It is placed for you: the correct doorpost, the correct height, tilted the correct way for your minhag. You do not position it by hand.

A mezuzah affixed to the doorpost beside a door

/mezuzah minhag <ashkenazi|sephardi> sets whether yours hang slanted or upright. Ashkenazi mezuzos lean with the top pointing into the house.

A newly placed mezuzah is not yet valid. Type the bracha in normal chat:

Baruch Ata Hashem Elokeinu Melech Haolam Asher Kidishanu B'mitzvotav V'tzivanu Likbo'a Mezuzah

Spelling does not need to be perfect. boruch/baruch, atah/ata, and bmitzvosav/b'mitzvotav all work, and apostrophes do not matter.

Until you say it, /mezuzah house counts the mezuzah as unfixed, and it does not count toward your home.

Who Gets in
You Always
Anyone you /mezuzah add Yes, at every door in that building
Your team Yes, unless you turn it off
Everyone else No

/mezuzah add <player> covers the whole building at once. Let someone in the front door and they can open the bedroom too. /mezuzah kick <player> takes it back. /mezuzah trusted shows who can open the door you are looking at.

/mezuzah team <true|false> decides whether your teammates get in. It also spreads across the building, but a door you set individually keeps its own answer, and later changes leave it alone. That is how you make everything open to your team except the vault.

/mezuzah team follow puts a door back in step with the rest of the building.

Leaving a team closes their doors to you immediately.

A button, lever, or pressure plate counts as the action of whoever used it, and is checked exactly like a hand on the door. An item thrown onto a wooden plate counts as the action of whoever threw it.

A signal nobody can be blamed for is blocked: a hopper clock, an observer, a mob wandering onto a pressure plate.

Sneak + right-click an affixed mezuzah to touch it. Once per cooldown that is a Kosher Point. Clicking repeatedly does nothing extra.

Mezuzos wear over time and eventually stop counting. A Sofer’s Quill restores one, but only in the hands of someone who has studied Hilchos Stam.

A sofer can repair other players’ mezuzos, which is the service that skill exists to create.

/mezuzah house scans the enclosed building you are standing in and reports required doorways, valid mezuzos, unfixed ones, and your completion.

Look directly at it and run /mezuzah remove. Owner or staff only.

Command What it does
/mezuzah Mezuzah command list
/mezuzah add <player> Let someone into your whole home
/mezuzah kick <player> Take that access back
/mezuzah trusted Who can open the door you are looking at
/mezuzah team <true|false> Let your team in, or not
/mezuzah team follow Put a door back in step with the building
/mezuzah minhag <ashkenazi|sephardi> Slanted or upright
/mezuzah house Scan your home for missing mezuzos
/mezuzah remove Remove the mezuzah you are looking at

You probably have not said the bracha. /mezuzah house lists unfixed mezuzos separately.

Check /mezuzah minhag. If that is right and it still leans wrong, tell staff. It is a one-line server setting, not something you can fix.

Check /mezuzah team at that door. A door set individually ignores building-wide changes.
